About Me
Hello again, my name is Nikhat, a creative technologist with a background in Telecommunication Engineering, a Master’s in Interactive Digital Media from Trinity College Dublin, and over 3.5 years of experience as a software developer. My work sits at the intersection of design and technology, where I explore how immersive experiences can tell better stories and connect people in meaningful ways. I’ve had the chance to work across diverse roles: a Trainee Developer at Algorithm, a Creative Technologist at Monster Theory and currently have been working as a Technical Demonstrator at PIX-ART (Trinity College Dublin). Right now, I am a PhD candidate researching AI Driven Avatars in Extended Realities at Trinity College Dublin.
My experiences have taught me to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The different roles have allowed me to explore project management, interaction design and XR design and development. I’m at my best when I’m solving creative problems, organising tasks, shaping new ideas from scratch, and bringing them to life through intuitive design and technical implementation. I also enjoy documentation of the entire process, and testing the product and figuring out why a certain feature isn't working as expected and figuring out a solution for it.
To sum up, my ideal working environment is in a field that inspires me to pushes boundaries of immersive environments, and exploring how we can use emerging technologies to tell better story and collaborate with teams from multidisciplinary backgrounds.
